Either Fast or Slow

Either Fast or Slow

I had always admired those who could move the quickest and run the fastest. As a child I was ashamed of being chubby and unable to keep up. The quick and the fast got the most attention seemingly without effort. It became evident to me that I had an issue to overcome, but I became deluded pursuing what eluded me, my reasoning was for the wrong reasons. Quick and fast is something relative to what has been put into motion, it does not however always make it right. Every circumstance has it’s need, let Jesus lead! We sometimes react too quickly and move too fast in some direction without thoughtfully considering where it might go. When we slow down we get an opportunity to consider the significance of where it is taking us. What is right and what is wrong? What is living and behaving righteously mean? With faith we take what we have come to believe and move forward. We must always do this with consideration to His will as everything has eternal significance. Our past is past, our now is now, our future will be.

Righteousness – moral, good, correct, true, factual, excellent, just, virtuous and honorable. These are just some of the attributes of our Holy and Perfect God. Jesus is perfect and Holy love. It is His desire for us to want and pursue all these things. They will be accomplished in Heaven. When we let the Holy Spirit into our lives by an act of our free will He guides us there.

Psalm 118: 18-24

Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will go through them, and I will praise the Lord.

This is the gate of the Lord, through which the righteous shall enter.

I will praise You, For You have answered me, and have become my salvation.

The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone.

This was the Lord’s doing; It is marvelous in our eyes.

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Consider this as you do:

Matthew 6:33

Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Always to all add more love. Whether now you do moving fast or slow, do for all to have and all to know. Jesus knows, and despite ourselves He gave and still gives that more love to share.
